Email

If your hosting account comes with email, this chapter contains information on setting up and using your email account.

General Settings

Email settings for all email clients can be found in the table below.

Wherever possible, we recommend using IMAP instead of POP3 as your incoming email server type to ensure that email is stored on the server where it is automatically backed up by our systems.

Setup Instructions

Instructions for setting up your email client can be found below.

Web Client

Email can be accessed at any time from any location by using the web client.

  1. Open an internet browser.

  2. Browse to https://zimbra.01networks.com/

  3. Login with your email address and password.

You should now have access to your email account.

iOS (iPhone and iPad)

To setup email on your iOS device, follow the instructions below:

  1. From the home screen, tap on Settings.

  2. Tap on Passwords & Accounts.

  3. Review the list of accounts in your device. If you already have an account setup for the email account in question, remove it before proceeding.

  4. Tap Add Account.

  5. Choose Exchange.

  6. Provide the email address and a description. We typically recommend using your email address as a description so you can easily identify it later on.

  7. If you are prompted to sign into your Exchnage account using Microsoft, select Sign In.

  8. Provide your account password.

    Note

    If you receive a Cannot Verify Server Identity error, tap Continue to proceed forward.

  9. If your account is not automatically discovered by your device, you will be prompted for additional information:

    Tap Next to continue.

  10. Choose which items you wish to sync between your phone and the server, and then tap Save.

Your account is now setup and ready to use.

MacOS (Catalina)

To setup email on your MacOS Catalina computer, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the Apple icon, and select System Preferences.

  2. Inside of System Preferences, click on the Internet Accounts.

  3. If an account already exists in the panel for the email account you are trying to setup, delete it before proceeding.

  4. Click Add Other Account.

  6. In the first dialog that appears, provide your Name, Email Address, the Password to your email account, and then click Sign In.

  7. A larger dialog should appear with an error that it was unable to verify the account name or password. Provide the following information:

    • Email Address – your email address

    • User Name – your email address

    • Password – your email account password

    • Account Type – select IMAP

    • Incoming Mail Serverzimbra-o.01networks.com

    • Outgoing Mail Serverzimbra-o.01networks.com

  8. Click Sign In.

    Note

    If an error appears, resolve that error before proceeding.

  9. When prompted for the apps to use with this account, ensure that only Mail is selected.

Your account is now setup and ready to use.

Microsoft Outlook (Windows)

To setup email using Microsoft Outlook on Windows, follow the instructions below:

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Click on the File menu, and then click on Account Settings.

  3. Under the Email tab, click the New button.

  4. Type your email address when prompted. Click the Advanced options link and check Let me set up my account manually box. Finally, click the Connect button.

  5. In the Advanced setup screen, click the IMAP button.

  6. The IMAP Account Settings dialog will appear. Provide the following information, and then click the Next button:

    • Incoming Mail

      • Serverzimbra-o.01networks.com

      • Port993

      • Encryption MethodSSL/TLS

      • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) – leave this box unchecked

    • Outgoing Mail

      • Serverzimbra-o.01networks.com

      • Port465

      • Encryption MethodSSL/TLS

      • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) – leave this box unchecked

  7. When prompted for your password, type in your email account password and then click Connect.

  8. After Outlook connects and verifies your account, you should see an Account successfully added message. Click Done and your email account is ready to use.

Gmail

To receive your email in and send email from Gmail, follow the instructions below:

  1. Log into Gmail with the account you want to receive your email at.

  2. Go to Settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner. A Quick settings window will pop out. Click on the See all settings button at the top to go to your full account settings.

  3. Click on the Accounts and Import tab.

  4. Find the Check mail from other accounts section, and click on Add a mail account.

  5. In the pop-up window, type the email address for the account you would like to add and click Next.

  6. Select Import emails from my other account (POP3) and click Next.

  7. Provide the email settings so that Gmail can fetch your email:

    • Username – your email address

    • Password – your email account password

    • POP Serverzimbra-o.01networks.com

    • Port995

    • Check the box for Always use a secure connection (SSL).

    The rest of the settings should be fine as-is, but you may adjust them to your preferences.

  8. Gmail will validate the settings. If there is an error, correct it at this point.

  9. Once the account has been added, you will be prompted if you wish to send email as that email address. Select Yes and click Next.

  10. Provide your name for how you would like it to appear when people receive email from you.

    Click Next.

  11. You will now be prompted for settings so that you can send email from your email address.

    • SMTP Serverzimbra-o.01networks.com

    • Port587

    • Username – your email address

    • Password – your email account password

    • Secured connection using TLS – checked

    Click Add Account.

  12. Gmail will validate the settings. If there is an error, correct it at this point.

  13. Upon successful validation, Gmail will send a confirmation email to your email address to validate ownership. Follow their instructions to complete this step.

You should now be able to receive your email at Gmail as well as send email from your email address.
